Service Description
Since 2007, SW Washington Medical Center has provided state-of-the-art technology and a trained staff for advanced cardiac imaging. This includes a 1.5T magnet with fast gradients for optimal imaging of the heart and blood vessels in the chest. With this, we are able to see moving pictures of the inside of the heart with a clarity that is superior to all other non-invasive tests. We also use a 64-slice CT scanner for cardiac imaging, especially with regards to imaging the coronary arteries for plaque and calcifications. CIG uses a combination of cardiology and radiology trained physicians, all with further accredited training in these highly specialized imaging modalities.
